Shakira is the world’s fifth most popular public figure on social media networks.
According to famecount.com, Shakira is only beaten to the honor by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Eminem and Rihana and finds herself more popular than Kate Perry and U.S. President Barack Obama.
The social-media tracking website counted that the Colombian pop diva has nearly 29 million fans on Facebook, 5.9 million followers on Twitter and 808 million views on YouTube.
Shakira is by far the most popular Colombian on social media. No other Colombians are found in the top 100 of famecount’s popularity chart.
