Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos met with the country’s highest military officials Friday to discuss the apparent come-back of guerrilla groups, who have increased their attacks on security forces, politicians and infrastructure.
The president and the generals met for over three hours in Bogota to exchange opinions and discuss current strategies in light of the increase of FARC attacks in different parts of the country, Caracol Radio reported.
While in the majority of Colombians interviewed by pollster Gallup have increasingly shown that the situation with the guerrilla is not going well, Santos publicly has insisted that the guerrilla attacks are a sign of their weakness.
