Santos laments death of former Venezuelan President Perez

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on Sunday expressed grief over the death of Venezuela’s former President Carlos Andres Perez who died in Miami Saturday.

According to Santos, he and the former Venezuelan Head of State had a good personal relationship since Santos was Colombia’s Trade Minister in the early 1990s and, together with the Venezuelan and Mexican government, worked out a “G-3” agreements, “that brought many benefits to the population.”

The Colombian President also expressed his condolences to the family of the former Venezuelan President, who had been living in Miami since 2001.
