Padre Chucho, RCN’s moral authority, disappears from television

by Adriaan Alsema January 17, 2011

Padre Chucho, the Catholic priest that advised Colombian housewives on exorcism, cheating and other pressing moral issues, has apparently been taken off the air by television network RCN.

“Cura para el alma” (Cure for the soul) was never officially canceled, but is no longer seen on RCN’s morning show “Muy Buenos Dias” (Very good morning) and according to gossip website La Fiscalia, the preacher’s staff was told to stay on vacation “until new orders.”

Fans of the popular priest can still see his televized holy mass on Sundays, but will have to do without his moral guidance on weekdays. The nearly 8,000 haters on Facebook can now dismantle their group.

Voluntary financial donations to support Padre Chucho can be made here.
