Man nearly castrates himself with toy ring

by Adriaan Alsema November 26, 2010

Colombia news - weird

Psychiatrists in the central Colombian city of Neiva are trying to figure out what to do with a local man who nearly castrated himself with an improvised penis ring before running into the streets naked.

According to a local newspaper, the man was arrested by cops who saw him wandering around naked. The security officials decided to take the man to hospital as he had a ring – normally used to play the game “toad in the hole” – shoved over his penis that was cutting off the blood supply to the sexual organ.

The man had shoved the toy ring over his member to increase the pleasure of masturbating, but was unable to remove it.

According to a local sexologist, doctors were able to carefully but quickly remove the ring, as blood had begun clotting in the penis, which could cause gangrene and in turn would have forced the doctors to amputate the man’s penis.

“The urologist performed circular pressure on the penis so that the accumulated blood would flow and fulfill its usual route,” the sexologist told Diario de Huila.

However, the doctors were not able to prevent damage to the organ, and the man is now likely to suffer an erection deficiency as his penis “will no longer have elasticity.”

Following the operation, the man was sent to the local mental hospital and was given anti-inflammatory medicine so his swollen penis can return to its normal size.

Psychiatrists at the mental hospital isolated the man from other patients as he was diagnosed as suffering from an extreme form of exhibitionism and sex-addiction.
