Jackeline Renteria doubles Colombia’s Olympic medal record

Colombian wrestler Jackeline Renteria on Thursday won bronze in the Women’s 55kg Freestyle category, adding a sixth medal to her country’s prize cabinet.

Renteria obtained the medal after beating Tetyana Lazareva from Ukraine in the match for third and fourth place.

The Cali-born wrestler secured Colombia’s sixth medal, doubling the country’s record that, before London, never won more than three medals at an Olympic tourmament.
