Colombia’s Ministry of Defence on Wednesday labelled recent attacks on civilians, supposedly by the FARC, Colombia’s largest left-wing rebel group, as “evil”, local media reported.
The attacks in question resulted in the death of a policeman and a child in the South Colombia’s department of Guaviare. When authorities responded to a fire in the Miraflores municipality, they were ambushed by FARC rebels who threw a grenade at those trying to access the fire, killing two and injuring many more, five of which are reportedly in a “grave”state.

Juan Carlos Pinzon, Colonbia’s Minister of Defence reportedly responded to the attacks by saying “[it is incomprehensible to] throw a grenade at a group of people working closely together to put out a fire.”
He went on to state that those responsible can not expect their actions to be covered up by any form of logic.
