To be released hostages
The release of ten hostages in two legs was scheduled to take place on March 30 and April 1, but was pushed back to April 2 and 4.
The anonymous member of mediators Colombian for Peace (CCP) who told reporters about the delay did not disclose the reasons of the FARC to delay the release.
According to the CCP member, representatives of the Red Cross, the governments of Colombia and Brazil, and mediators will meet on Sunday afternoon to define the agenda of the release operation.
According to former Senator and CCP member Piedad Cordoba, the hostage release mission will travel to Brazil on March 31 where they will be united with members of the Brazilian Air Force in charge of providing the helicopters and personnel. On April 1, the delegation and the Brazilian helicopters will fly to the central Colombian city of Villavicencio from where the two release operations will begin.
The FARC announced the release of hostages in December and in January said it would release all 10 political hostages.
