A “FARC attack” against a civilian bus in southwestern Colombia left four people dead and several wounded on Wednesday morning, Colombian media reported.
The alleged FARC guerrillas opened fire at the bus after the driver refused to stop at an illegal guerrilla checkpoint in the southwestern Nariño department. Four people were killed and between seven and 10 were wounded, according to reports.
Zabier Hernandez, a representative of Nariño’s local government, said to Caracol Radio that the attack was “demented” and that there was a strong FARC presence in the area where the attack took place.
