Colombian exports increased by 6% in September in comparison to last year’s numbers, according to a report released Thursday.
According to the government’s statistics organization DANE, Colombian exports in September rose by 6.1% from September 2011.
Between January and September of this year export value also increased by 7.5%, reflecting an increase of 44,696 million dollars compared to the same period as last year.
According to the data, petroleum exports are the highest earning in Colombia’s export sector. Fuel exports increased 8.4%, rising from 27 million to 29.4 million in the same period from last year.
