Colombia ranks 2nd in NYT travel poll

Colombia ranked second in a New York Times readers’ recommendation poll on global travel destinations.

NYT’s most recommended locations in Colombia

  1. Cartagena
  2. Bogota
  3. Cali
  4. Villa de Leyva

Over the course of 2010, the country received 150 reader recommendations and was only beat by the Turkish city of Istanbul, which received 212 recommendations.

The readers mostly recommended the friendlyness of the Colombian people and it’s beautiful landscapes.
