Colombia condemns Moscow airport bombing

by Adriaan Alsema January 25, 2011

Colombia news - Moscow airport bombing

The Colombian government condemned the suicide bombing at a Moscow airport that killed at least 35 and injured another 100 Monday.

In a press release, Colombia’s foreign minister Maria Angela Holguin said the government “rejects and condemns the terrorist attack” on Domodedovo airport.

“Colombia, a country that has suffered and confronted the scourge of terrorism with determination, expresses its solidarity with the people and the government of the Russian Federation and its condolences to family and friends of those who lost their lives in this tragic act,” the minister said.

Holguin took the opportunity to call for improved international cooperation to “jointly prevent and combat the global threat of terrorism.”
