Former U.S. president Bill Clinton will visit the Colombian coastal city of Cartagena Wednesday, his foundation said Friday.
The former president will be accompanied by the son of Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim and Canadian businessman Frank Giustra when visiting two projects that were sponsored by Clinton and the foundations of the businessmen.
Clinton and Slim “will participate in the inauguration of a warehouse that ‘Acceso Oferta Local Productos del Caribe’, a venture of the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership in conjunction with ‘Fundación Carlos Slim’, has leased and renovated, a press release by the Clinton Foundation said.
“Later in the day, they will tour the ‘Acceso Training Center’, an enterprise of the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership in alliance with Fundación Carlos Slim, which trains workers in local communities for careers in the hospitality industry,” the press release added.
The last time Clinton was in Colombia was in February last year.
