by Adriaan Alsema April 10, 2011

Colombia news - Don H

The alleged leader of drug gang “Los Machos” was arrested Saturday in the southwest of Colombia, authorities said.

Hilber Nover Urdinola, alias “Don H,” was arrested in the town of Roldadanillo, Cauca, after being cornered by police and army units.

“Don H,”  the nephew of deceased drug trafficker Ivan Urdinola, is accused by the authorities of runnning at least 30 drug trafficking routes in the Valle del Cauca department where drugs are shipped to Mexico and the United States over the Pacific Ocean.

Authorities had promised a $1 million reward for his capture.

The suspect was taken to the capital Bogota where he will await trial.
