Colombia’s new ambassador in Tel Aviv, Fernando Alzate Donoso, on Thursday said to support renewed peace talks with the Palestinian people.
Donoso presented Israeli President Shimon Peres with his diplomatic credentials on Thursday. In doing so, he conveyed a message of support for ongoing peace negotiations where a complete agreement negotiators hope to be achieved in nine months time.
Israel and Colombia have grown relatively close after a series of trade deals and international visits spearheaded by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos earlier this year.
