The coastal Colombian city of Barranquilla is preparing to celebrate its 199th birthday.
The free festivities begin at 10am Sunday April 1 at the Plaza Maria Santo Domingo. A yoga class with dancer and therapist Eva Echeverri, a traditional Carribean cooking demonstration and a photography exhibit where people can submit their favorite photos of the city are among the attractions.
The main event will be a 260 square foot mural created by art students at the University of Atlantico.
