Colombian striker Radamel Falcao Garcia began training with Atletico Madrid Sunday two days after the Spanish club agreed to pay Portuguese FC Porto $58 million for his transfer.
“El Tigre” (The Tiger) appeared at the training in the town of Majadahonda, where his team is preparing for the Spanish league.
Some 500 Atletico fans had shown up to watch the training session.
After the training, Falcao Garcia took some time to give autographs and take photos with the fans of his new employer.
The Colombian is the most expensive player Atletico in the history of the Spanish club. While failing to live up to high expectations at the Copa America, Falcao Garcia scored a record 17 goals in last year’s Europa League and was top scorer in the Portuguese competition.
