5 injured in Bogota soccer riots

Five people were injured when supporters of Bogota team Millonarios clashed at the end of Sunday’s game against Atletico Huila.

According to newspaper El Tiempo, hostilities between Millonarios hooligans began minutes before the game outside the Colombian capital’s El Campin stadium.

“Three blocks away from El Campin the supporters of the same team clashed for reasons we are investigating. Two of them were injured,” the newspaper quoted a Bogota police official.

According to newspaper El Espectador, clashes continued after the match when hooligans of the “Comandos Azules” clashed with hooligans of the “Comandos Azules.” The newspaper reported a total of five injured.

More than 20 hooligans were arrested for carrying knifes.
