Ten Colombian citizens listed as missing “voted” in the nation’s presidential elections Sunday, according to a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Prosecutor Mary Luz Mendez Rada told media that several of the ten missing Colombians had been kidnapped.
Another 23 people, who had warrants out for their arrest, were detained by police when they showed up to vote.
According to Rada, the majority of these cases occurred in the coffee growing regions of Caldas, Risaralda and Quindio, and the Caribbean coast.
