A Venezuelan military helicopter crossed the Colombian border without permission Thursday, due to ”pilot error”.
According to the military sources, the pilot took the wrong flight path and flew over the Colombian territory for about eight minutes.
Colombian Army Commander Colonel Cesar Oswaldo Morales said that an airport control tower had made radio contact with the pilot, who then realized he had made an error and went back to Venezuelan territory immediately.
Morales added that the Colombian foreign ministry had been informed, which had decided not to take any action because the crossing happened accidentally.
But the accusations made by Uribe, that Venezuela supports and helps the FARC, continue. The country’s new defense minister , Henry Rangel Silva, was accused this week of being “a good friend” of the rebels, allegations which Colombian politicians say he must explain.
