Colombian security forces have killed three alleged FARC members and captured another four in the northeast of the country, reported Radio Caracol Tuesday.
The clash, in Araquita, a municipality near the Venezuelan border, was part of ongoing military operations responding to the killing of 11 soldiers by the FARC’s 10th Front last Saturday.
Following Saturday’s ambush, President Juan Manuel Santos led a security council meeting in Arauca and offered more than $1,700 for information leading to the capture of the four FARC leaders believed to be responsible.
