3 Colombia universities ranked among world’s top 500

Three Colombian universities are ranked among the top 500 in the world, according to British education research firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). 

Colombia’s top universities

  1. Los Andes (Bogota)
  2. National University (Bogota)
  3. Javeriana (Bogota)
  4. Antioquia University (Medellin)
  5. Rosario (Bogota)
  6. Valle University (Cali)
  7. Sabana University (Bogota)
  8. Del Norte (Barranquilla)
  9. Industrial University of Santander (Bucaramanga)
  10. EAFIT (Medellin)

In the World University Rankings released by QS, the private Los Andes University, the public National University, and the private Javeriana University occupied positions 274, 324 and 349 respectively.

No Latin American university was listed in the top 100 worldwide.

QS Latin America University rankings place Universidad de los Andes as fourth on the continent, with a score of 94.50. The National University is in ninth place, with a score of 83.70 and Potificia Universidad Javeriana is in 20 place with a score of 76.30.
