Colombian troops discovered communication equipment and propaganda materials in a FARC camp in western Colombia, technology that was allegedly stolen from the army during a terrorist raid in 2006.
Task Force Apolo of the Colombian military discovered a camp in the Caldono municipality in the western Cauca department belonging to the 5th company of the FARC’s Jacabo Arenas mobile column, lead by alias “Jacinto,” reported El Espectador.
The materials are suspected to have been used for indoctrination, political proselytizing, and propaganda.
Among the items seized were a console, two amps, two Yagi antennas, an omnidirectional antenna, various cables, two microphones, a headset, a transmitter link, a receiver link and a power adapter. Monitary value of this equipment is estimated at $15,000.
Along with the communications equipment, troops also found 31 handmade grenades.
