Although she is the best paid actress on United States’ television, Sofia Vergara was left empty handed for the fourth consecutive year Sunday as she vied for the television award Golden Globe.
This is the fourth time she has been nominated without taking home the prize.
Vergara was nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress for her series ‘Modern Family’, where she interprets a Colombian in a dysfunctional American family.
The Colombian actress competed with Monica Potter (Parenthood), Hayden Panettiere (Nashville), Janet McTeer (The White Queen) and Jacqueline Bisset (Dancing on the Edge), who took home the award.
Despite her defeat, Vergara appeared calm. In her Twitter, she published a picture of her and her boyfriend Nicholas Loeb with the phrase, “I won.”
