Colombian pop star turned philanthropist Shakira will be honored for her role as Latin Grammy’s Person of the Year, with a star-studded tribute concert to be held in Las Vegas.

The concert is set to take place in Las Vegas on November 9 and will feature the musical prowess of a number of famous musicians from around Latin America who will be paying homeage to the pop princess.

Mexican-American artist Pepe Aguilar, Venezuelan singer and composer Franco de Vita, Mexican pop-rock diva Alejandra Guzman and Spanish singer and beauty Natalia Jimenez will be among a number of artists offering their musical talents for the event.

The concert will be an extravaganza for Shakira fans, with the invited artists playing covers of the most famous tracks from the petite pop princess.

Profits from the event will be donated to the non-governmental educational organization of which Shakira is the founder, Pies Descalzos (Barefoot Foundation). The foundation is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for underprivileged or vulnerable children around the world.
