Relief workers discovered the body of a 24-year-old man Monday, who went missing with three others in central Colombia over the weekend, reported local media.

Germain Higuera went missing while sailing on the Saldaña river, in the central department of Tolima. Authorities continued their efforts to locate the other three missing people, following the discovery.

“They may be in other areas of the department, however we cannot determine this as bodies can become entangled […] For now, we continue our search and are now looking at the mouth of the river that connects the Saldaña and Magdalena rivers,” Civil Defense Director for Tolima Caicedo Stanislaus told newspaper El Nuevo Dia.

Search efforts ended at 6:30pm Monday due to poor light conditions, but resumed Tuesday morning.
