Pedigree bull stolen from Bogota university

by Joey O'Gorman August 30, 2012

Thieves have stolen a bull from within the grounds of the National University in Bogota, local media reported Thursday.

Corsario, a five-year old pure bred Normande bull, was tied up and grazing peacefully behind the campus stadium until he was abducted last week.

Since then, judicial authorities have been investigating the disappearance in mysterious circumstances of the pedigree bull.

University officials are baffled as to how the 1,800lbs bull could have been slipped past their security guards who are stationed at every entrance.

The missing bull was used as a teaching tool and a donator of blood in the veterinary medicine and zoology departments. One of the more pleasurable aspects of his position as university bull was the obligation to cover the heifers.

A leading hypothesis is that the virile animal has been taken to a farm outside Bogota to continue with this stimulating element of his job.

A more morbid suggestion and much less enjoyable for Corsario is that the beloved bull is now slabs of steak at the local meat market.
