by Toni Peters April 16, 2011

Colombia news - money

An agreement was reached by the directors of the Deportivo Quindio and Once Caldas for the players to be paid allowing them to play against the teams Real Cartagena and America from Cali, Caracol Radio reported Friday.

The Federation acted as mediator so now the players will be paid in arrears.

The payment of the players will be made next Tuesday in accordance with the agreement reached. Coldeportes will now withdraw the 30 day ban it imposed on Deportes Quindio, so the team will now be able to play against Real Cartegena on Sunday.

Once Caldas were also able to reach an agreement with their squad of players and will travel to Palmira on Saturday to play America and next week in Peru against Universidad de San Martin for Group 1 of the Copa Libertadores de America.

After three consecutive defeats Once Caldas from Manizales is hoping for a good result against America to stay in first place in the league.
