The former Senator said the accusations were “political persecution” that she “could not accept.”
Cordoba said that because of the continued “attacks” of the government she is lodging a complaint with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
The controversial politician, together with more than a thousand social and political movements, founded the Patriotic March in April in advance of the 2014 elections.
Cordoba was banned from the Senate after the Inspector General found her guilty of having ties with the FARC. Colombia’s Supreme Court has been investigating these allegations since 2008.
