A motorcycle bomb was detonated Thursday in the downtown area of the south Colombian town of San Vicente del Caguan.
The explosives were planted on a motorcycle and abandoned on a busy street corner in the commercial sector of the town.
Local authorities said there were no deaths or injuries caused by the bomb, while beginning to determine the extent of the material damage in the immediate area of the explosion.
Mobile brigades of the Colombian military are gathering evidence to capture those responsible for the explosion.
San Vicente del Caguan lies in the middle of an area where the FARC is highly active.
