Fans clash in rival soccer match

Rival soccer fans clashed in southern Colombia, leaving 11 people injured and 135 detained.

Fans from rivals Deportivo Cali and America fought despite agreeing to a peace pact prior to Wednesday’s game.

Police reported that one officer lost a finger in the fighting.

The violence comes just days after one man was shot dead, and four were hospitalized after a match between Medellin-based teams Atletico Nacional and Independiente Medellin.

Colombian police reported the detention of 350 people and the confiscation of 450 weapons after Sunday night’s game.
