Miss Colombia contestants dress up as birds, parade around Cartagena (photos)

by Alice Boyd November 11, 2011

Colombia News - Miss Colombia

The stunning contestants of this year’s Miss Colombia contest dressed up in colorful bird costumes Wednesday to march around the city of Cartagena, strutting their stuff and ruffling the feathers of the local male population.

The women wore gorgreous, midriff-displaying bird costumes highlighting their Colombian plumage in an attempt to win the hearts of the local Cartagena residents.

As the parade passed through the city, locals were able to view this year’s glamorous contestants close-up for the first time.

Prancing about with plenty of flesh on display, the brightly colored Miss Colombia contestants were undoubtedly the sexiest birds the Cartagena locals had ever seen.

Due to the sweltering heat of the day, some of the contestants looked tired and overwhelmed, while others made the most of the parade, dancing, waving to the large crowd and pretending to fly.

The beautiful birds of Colombia are currently involved in some of their final activities as Miss Colombia contestants, with the queen to be chosen Monday.
