The streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil are fuller than usual with beautiful women as 89 gorgeous Miss Universe candidates arrived in the city Monday to compete for the 2011 crown, including our own Miss Colombia, Catalina Robayo.
The Miss Universe candidates will start off the competition Tuesday with a welcome party where the pageant hosts will officially present every one of the drop-dead-gorgeous gals that aspire for the crown. After the welcome the ladies will enter their rigorous Miss Universe agenda, that includes Hilton Hotel pool parties, an auction, a visit of Rio de Janeiro, a tour of the Iguazu waterfalls, a stop in Salvador, and of course plenty of fashion, fun, and fantasy.
There is no doubt that all eyes are on the 21 year old Cali-born cutie Catalina who stands in at 5 feet 9 inches and packs a punch. Catalina loves to dance and is considered to be a “happy, spontaneous, and persistent” kind of lady. Her secret weapon in the competition this year is her slew of glamorous gowns, which are all creations of Colombian designers.
This year the candidates will have three weeks to win over the judges and on September 12th the world will find out who the ravishing ruler of their universe will be.
