Independiente Santa Fe and Once Caldas top their groups in the Colombian Liga Postobon group phase after match day two.
The round’s action began on Wednesday with Santa Fe hosting La Equidad in a Bogota city derby.
Despite going a man down early on as Jhonier Gonzalez was sent off in the 13th minute, Santa Fe dominated the game with goals from Felipe Noguera (32nd) and Cristian Nazarith (50th).
John Viafara then scored back for the guests in the 82nd minute but Mario Gonzalez made it 3-1 in the fifth minute of added time.
Deportes Tolima earned a 3-2 win at Atletico Huila. The home side drew first blood through Rafael Castillo in the 24th minute but Wilder Medina turned things around with goals in the 38th and 70th minutes.
Amilcar Henriquez tied the score for Huila in the 80th, but Hugo Centurion restored Tolima’s lead two minutes later.
Santa Fe lead group A with a slightly better goal difference than Tolima, but the latter do have an invisible point thanks to finishing first in the regular season.
Once Caldas jumped to the top of Group B following a 3-1 win at Deportes Quindio.
Carlos Rodas put Quindio in the lead after seven minutes, but Fernando Uribe answered with goals in the 32nd and 54th minute to hand the visitors a 2-1 lead. Dayro Moreno added a third away goal five minutes after the hour.
Cucuta Deportivo and Atletico Nacional held each other to a 2-2 draw. Wilson Carpintero (penalty) and Federico Barrionuevo scored for the home side, Humberto Mendoza and Dorlan Pabon did so for the visitors.
