Juanes records songs in English before US performance

by Courtney Scott August 1, 2012

Colombia news - Juanes

Colombian singer Juanes ventures into new territory by recording songs in various languages, including English, before his performance in Los Angeles August 17 and 18.

“I’ve already recorded songs in English and Portuguese, but now the intention is to break the barriers a little now that I feel more comfortable with the English language,” reported newspaper Tabasco Hoy quoting the Colombian singer.

His intention is not to record an entire album in English, but now that Juanes feels more fluid with the language, he plans on launching a few songs as EP recordings.

He will present these songs along with others in Spanish at the “Hollywood Bowl,” a major ampitheater in the Los Angeles area, with the venue’s house orchestra as a preview to his Unplugged Tour, which will begin at the end of the month in Mexico.

Juanes believes this will be “a once in a lifetime” experience for him.
