JetBlue to launch non-stop New York to Cartagena route

by Katharina Wecker July 17, 2012

JetBlue

Low-cost American airline JetBlue will offer three weekly non-stop flights from New York to Cartagena starting November 2012.

“Cartagena is finally within reach. At the convenient prices we offer, it’s a bargain to go visit ‘La Heroica,’ one of the most coveted destinations on the Colombian Caribbean Coast,” said John Checketts, director of route planning for JetBlue Airways.

JetBlue is currently offering a special $149 one way ticket to promote the new route, beginning November 2, 2012.

The flights will leave Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from New York at 8:25AM and from Cartagena at 2:05AM.

This is the airline’s third route to Colombia as it has already operated daily direct flights between Colombia’s capital Bogota and Orlando for over three years. In May, it launched non-stop flights between Bogota and Fort Lauderdale.
