‘It didn’t suprise me, I feel I deserve it’: Miss Colombia 2011

The new Miss Colombia says that her win on Monday didn’t surprise her and she feels that she deserves the title.

Despite overwhelming favoritism given to competitor Miss Valle, Daniella Margarita Alvarez told W Radio she had always been calm, cool, and collected over the fact that she would soon be Colombia’s next royal beauty.

“Three days before the crowning I met the judges, who are really who chose us, and I felt comfortable. I never gave any importance to the prizes that were won or other comments from the press,” she explained.

“In the interview with the jury I was great, I knew what I had. I know my abilities; I have a beautiful face, a healthy body, and I am very prepared, so I had everything to win.”

Alvarez went on to say that her new title gives her a great responsibility and since she was 13 her and her sisters have visualized them as becoming Miss Atlantico, telling press that “I have the coastal flavor.”

As most of the Catholic Colombian cuties, the new queen felt she owes her win to God.
