The third annual International Contemporary Theater Festival in Cali pays special homage this year to “women of the Pacific,” lasting from November 17 to 28.

For 12 days, the festival features epic performances by groups from Argentina, Spain, Italy, and Colombia at La Mascara Theater, Valle University, and Cali Theater.

Starting tonight, the drama begins at 5PM with a Buenos Aires-based theater company performing “Medea Tango” in the Auditorium 4 at Valle University, followed by a performance at 7PM at La Mascara by the Italian group Marilena Teatro with a piece titled “Amor acuerdate que eres mia” (Love remember that you’re mine).

Medea Tango will be playing again at 7:30PM over the weekend on November 18 and 19, and on Sunday November 20, the Spanish artist Mara del Alar will be performing at La Mascara with her musical “Alma Chabacana.”

On November 26, the Lunatic Dance Theater group from San Juan, Argentina will be performing at La Mascara at 7:30PM.

Another piece titled “Mamita. Oda a mi niña” (Mother. I hate my daughter) will be shown at the Cali Theater, at 7:30PM on November 23 and 5PM on November 27.
