Golombek will come on stage to demonstrate unexpected chemical reactions that can occur in the kitchen. Eggs, lemons, coffee … everyday items will be converted into scientific experiments in his kitchen laboratory.

Golombek is a doctor currently working as a biology professor and is the best-selling author of books including “The Scientific Chef.”

The event is a prelude to the Fair of Science, Technology and Innovation set to take place in Parque Explora in October. Parque Explora is an interactive science and technology museum and park.

Cocina y Cienca will take place at 6:30 pm Thursday April 7.
