Colombia’s largest rebel group FARC announced on Tuesday they will be revealing suggested measures for substitution of illegal cultivation in Colombia.
In a press release to the public given on Monday night, the oldest rebel group in Colombia, the FARC, announced that on Tuesday they will disclose the “novel” proposals for the substitution of illegal cultivation in the country.
“We’re announcing that tomorrow, January 14, the Peace Delegation of the FARC-EP will present the novel proposals on the substitution of illegal cultivation,” read the release.
On Monday the FARC resumed its peace talks with the Colombian government, which are taking place in the Havana, Cuba. On the agenda of negotiations, illegal drug-trafficking takes third place behind agriculture and political participation.
