The clash occurred around 5PM in El Mango, a village in the central part of the Cauca department.
According to Cauca’s police commander Ricardo Alarcon, the Air Force arrived about an hour after the attack to face the group of supposed guerrillas responsible for the bombing.
The group reportedly used gas cylinder and tatuco bombs to target the station.
Alarcon also reported that Army troops came to back up El Mango’s police forces. Numbers for total injured and killed are still pending
