Colombia’s star striker, Radamel Falcao, has lent his name to a unique range of limited edition watches with the label Hublot, Colombian media reported on Tuesday.
The luxury watches, that range from $18,000 to $42,000, are being promoted in Colombia with direct sponsorship from the United Nations. For every Hublot Falcao that is sold, a portion of the revenue will go towards improving the “terrible living conditions” in the Grand Lagoon of Santa Marta, Falcao’s Caribbean birth town.
Falcao paid a visit to the Hublot manufacturing workship at the end of May and witnessed the production of the watches named after him, which are on sale in Colombia this month.
The soccer star played a key role in securing a 2-0 win for Colombia’s national team against Peru last night with an energetic performance.

Falcao signed a lucrative deal for next season with Monaco football club, which has earned him the position of fifth most expensive footballer of all time, after big names such as Ronaldo and Kaka.
