by Marguerite Cawley April 26, 2011

Colombia News - Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias will perform his first-ever Colombia concert in Bogota, accompanied by reggaeton artists Wisin & Yandel and Colombian hip hop trio ChocQuibTown.

The concert will take place May 21 in the capital city’s Centro Comercial Bima, and according to events site Plan B, will be more than four hours long.

The Spanish pop artist currently holds the record of most number one listings on U.S. billboard charts. His newest album “Euphoria,” a collaboration of Spanish and English language songs, includes hit singles such as “I like it,” “Cuando me Enamoro” and “Tonight,” and is a Latin Billboard Music Awards 2011 nominee.

ChocQuibTown, a group that hails from Quibdo, capital of the Choco department, recently released the single “Tu cancion,” a shout-out to their fans, from their newest album “Eso es lo que hay,” which will come out in the second half of 2011. The group won a Latin Grammy last year for their hit “De donde vengo yo.”

The Puerto Rican artists Wisin & Yandel, for their part, are considered the number one urban music artists, and released an album this past winter that serves as a return to reggaeton’s roots.
