by Jim Glade January 14, 2011

Colombia News La Ketty released

An alleged nacro henchman of drug gang “Los Rastrojos” was ordered to be set free on Friday after nearly a year of detention for drug charges.

The Colombian courts granted a writ of Habeas Corpus, a court order to for release due to unlawfull detention, to Marlon “La Ketty” Valencia and ordered the Colombia National Prison Authority to “grant immediate freedom without delay.”

The Colombian man who was said to funnel money between Los Rastrojos and the “Zetas” of Mexico, was captured February 8, 2010 in a U.S. backed operation called Sea Clamp.

Valencia has remained in jail since his arrest and the courts failed to proceed with his prosecution in time.

According to newspaper El Universal, Colombia’s National Prison Authority wants to advance procedures and protocols necessary to legalize the release of prisoners.
