Colombia’s finance minister expressed his concern Monday that suing the state is becoming “a national sport,” following a number of lawsuits resulting from the collapse of pyramid schemes, Caracol Radio reports.
The lastest claim of $45M against the state has been made by lawyers acting on behalf by those seeking compensation for losses suffered in pyramid schemes.
Minister Juan Carlos Echeverry said that lawyers were taking advance of the victims.
