Colombia’s urban artist J Balvin reaches 2 million followers on twitter

One of Colombia’s prominent urban artists, J Balvin, has reached a milestone 2 million followers on twitter.The urban musician, who is from Medellin, Colombia, announced his joy via the social networking site on Thursday, thanking all of his 2 million followers for their continued support and referring to them as ‘La Familia’.

J Balvin has been building an ever-increasing fan base since his debut album “Real” went gold in 2011.

As well as achieving success of his own J Balvin, also took part in an edition of chart-topping mega hit “Blurred Lines” by artist Robin Thicke. The collaboration between the two artists was released in June and features a rap section that is entirely in Spanish.

J Balvin features as a guest artist in the Colombian edition of “Blurred Lines” singing in Spanish where the original version played the song in English.
