Colombia’s top universities for 2012 were announced Tuesday by U-Sapiens research group.
Colombia’s 10 best universities
Bogota’s Universidad Nacional de Colombia
came in first place, followed by Medellin’s
Universidad de Antioquia, and Universidad de
Los Andes in Bogota came in third place.
The rankings are based on 81 public and private universities that met the evaluation criteria out of 250 institutions that were analyzed.
As is fitting for the “most innovative city in the world,” three of Medellin’s universities made the top ten.
The universities were ranked on science, technology, innovation and research, by measuring the number of approved masters and doctorates, the number of research groups and the number of journals published.
