Colombian race-car driver Juan Pablo Montoya is potentially set to join the Andretti Autosport team in the wake of his departure from NASCAR team Chip Ganassi.
The 38-year-old Bogota native was informed last week that his contract with his NASCAR team would not be renewed in 2014.

However Michael Andretti, owner of Andretti Autosport team in the IndyCar series, informed various newspapers on Monday that he was in discussions with Montoya about joining his team.
He told The Associated Press that “I’ve driven against him [Montoya] and I think he’s one of the best drivers I’ve ever driven against. It just comes down to sponsorship. So we’re looking, and if it’s a possibility, we want to do something with him.”
Montoya hasn’t competed in open wheel racing since his departure from Formula 1 in 2006, but is not ruling any possibilities out now he is looking for work.
