According the the release, the Army’s 22nd Mobile Brigade found over a thousand rounds of different calibres, 17 rocket propelled grenades, six hand grenades, a rifle, a mortar, a pistol, 10 improvised explosives, six uniforms, 30 meters of detonator cord, and 20 meters of slow fuse cord in the rural zone of La Uribe in Meta.
The weapons are believed to belong to FARC’s Abelardo Romero Front.
In the municipality of Ipiales, Nariño, the 27th Jungle Brigade found 196 rounds, a rifle, two bullet feeds, and uniforms allegedly belonging to FARC’s 48th Front.
In the rural area of El Cedral, Antioquia, the 4th Brigade found 12 explosive devices believed to belong to the FARC’s 36th Front.
The discoveries follow two weeks of military activity in which over 60 FARC guerrillas have been killed.
