Colombian socialite pregnant with European royal

by Esteban Refshauge November 9, 2012

Colombian socialite Tatiana Santo Domingo will give birth to the first grandchild of Monaco’s Princess Caroline.

“I am expecting a child. Yes, I am pregnant,” Tatiana told Spanish newspaper La Voz Libre.

The 28-year-old has been in a relationship with Andrea Casiraghi, the son of Monaco’s Princess Caroline, for more than seven years. The well-heeled pair are expecting the baby to be born early next year.

The Monaco royal met Tatiana Santo Domingo while both were attending boarding school in Paris.

Domingo is the granddaughter of the late Julio Mario Santo Domingo, founder of one of Colombia’s most powerful economic powerhouses. The family is one of the richest in Colombia, owning national television station Caracol, significant stocks in beer company SABMiller and formerly owning the country’s largest airline, Avianca.
